DESCRIPTION:Course #\n26-ELIF-1 \nCourse Length\n48 Hrs \nLead Instructor(s)\nJeff Reinert / Carl Seltzer \nCourse Cost\n\nIn-County: $180\nOut of County: $220\n\nCourse Goal\nTo introduce entry level firefighters to the basic knowledge\, skills\, and\nabilities as they relate to interior fire ground operations. \nCourse Description\nThis course is designed to introduce new firefighters to interior fire ground operation SCBA\, rescue\, ventilation\, fire suppression\, salvage\, protective systems\, and firefighter survival. This is the fourth of four courses in the curriculum. \nNOTE:  We are only able to accept 24 participants for this class. Spots are filled on a first-come\, first-served basis. To secure your place\, please complete the online registration and you will receive a confirmation email from the Training Committee if your application has been filled out properly\, with a student signature and an officer signature. \nPrerequisites\n\nExterior Fireground Support (ELEF)\nHazardous Materials Operations (HMOJB)\n\nPLEASE NOTE:\nThis is the 24-hour HazMat Operations program (HMOJB). A HazMat Ops Refresher (HMOR) certificate does NOT meet this requirement. \nMinimum Age Requirement\n18 years as of first day of class. \nStudent Equipment / Supply Needs\n\nPen/Pencil\nNotebook\nFirefighter’s Handbook (must remain in possession of the student throughout the entire course)\nSupported reference material and skill book (Must remain in possession of student at the end of the program)\nHelmet\, gloves\, turnout coat\, turnout pants\, boots\, protective hood\, and protective eyewear (safety glasses or goggles)\n15′ ½”(12mm) Static Kernmantle Rope\nSCBA (self contained breathing apparatus) AND spare cylinder.
