Elected and appointed officials hold tremendous\npower over the FD. Too many times FDs only communication with\nlocal government is at budget time or when a crisis occurs. Positive\nrelationships with officials are essential to providing the best\npossible service to your community. This session will identify why\nunclear expectations between public officials and leaders of the FD\ncan lead to problems. Solutions to those problems may be easier\nthan expected.
