DESCRIPTION:Course #\n24-ROBR-01 \nCourse Length\n16 Hrs \nLead Instructor(s)\nScot Landis \nCourse Cost\n\nIn-County: $40\nOut of County: $80\n\nCourse Goal\nParticipants in this course will be introduced to rope\, rope hardware\,\npatient packaging\, and basic haul systems\, which can be used in various aspects of\nrescue. The intent of this course is to provide rope and basic rigging experience for\nanyone interested in rope rescue\, but particularly those who do not want to\, or are unable\nto rappel. \nCourse Description\nParticipants in this course will be introduced to characteristics\nof rope\, rope hardware and various knots and hitches. Students will participate in patient\npackaging and stokes basket handling exercises. Students will be introduced to basic\nhaul and lowering systems and their practical uses. Most of the program is hands on and\ntime is allotted for practice to build proficiency \nPrerequisites\n\nIntroduction to the Fire Service (ELIS)\n\nSpecial Conditions\nAgencies sending students to this program will be asked to provide pumping apparatus to conduct practical exercises. \nStudent Equipment / Supply Needs\n\nPen/Pencil\nNotebook\nHelmet\, gloves\, turnout coat\, turnout pants\, boots\, protective hood\, and protective eyewear (safety glasses or goggles)
